The University of Queensland (UQ) has approximately 40,700 students spread over its four campuses at St. Lucia, Herston, Ipswich and Gatton. UQ St. Lucia – the university’s largest campus – is situated in Brisbane, a dynamic capital city known for its excellent climate, high standard of living and secure quality of life. The majestic sandstone buildings give the campus an intellectual feel while its sprawling parklands, abundant wildlife and multiple sporting fields offer reprieve from the rigors of academia. Located less than 5 miles outside the Brisbane Central Business District and bordered on three sides by the Brisbane River, the campus has easy access to the city via frequent buses and the City Cat river ferry.

UQ Ipswich, located approximately 30 miles from central Brisbane, offers students a unique learning environment, combining a tradition of quality education with a new and dynamic campus. Herston Campus is a major medical, teaching and research campus. The University operates within the Royal Brisbane Hospital, Royal Children's Hospital, Royal Women's Hospital and Queensland Radium Institute. UQ Gatton, a smaller campus located 54 miles from central Brisbane, delivers excellence in agricultural and natural resource sciences.
