The ProgramBond University offers courses from Humanities & Social Sciences, Business, Technology & Sustainable Development, Health Sciences & Medicine or Law where you’ll have access to world-class academic and technological resources. During the May term students can choose from a variety of course offerings. Bond University is the first private, not-for-profit university in Australia, offering a personalized academic environment, and student body of approximately 3500. Nearly 50 percent of the student population is made up of international students from up to 70 different countries. LocationBond University is located on the Gold Coast, 50 miles south of Brisbane, and boasts the perfect climate of mild winters and warm summers. The region displays a strong youth culture and is famous for its surf beaches, national parks, mountain ranges and great nightlife. AccommodationsStudents live in spacious fully furnished off-campus apartments arranged by Study Australia. Only a short walk from campus, students enjoy the easy commute combined with the independence of living on their own. Includes Technology Package with internet access and local phone service. Program FeeThe May 2010 program fee of $15,865 includes tuition (9-12 credits), accommodation, resident director services, overseas health insurance, application and student visa assistance, and pre-departure information. TravelInternational airfare can be arranged using Study Australia's preferred travel agent, who specialises in student airfare. CreditParticipants in this program obtain credit from Bond University and will receive a Bond University transcript at the conclusion of the course. Study Australia offers assistance to students and university administrators in interpreting overseas grades and credits. Admission Requirements and ApplicationStudents should be currently enrolled at an approved degree-granting institution of higher education majoring in some area of engineering. Interested students can apply on-line or download the Study Australia application. There is a $30 application fee. In addition, a $500 program deposit is required after acceptance. The program deposit is fully refundable, less a $75 administrative fee, should students withdraw by March 15, 2010. After March 15, 2010 the deposit is not refundable. Application Deadline: Applications are assessed on a rolling basis until all spots are filled. We suggest interested students apply by April 1, 2010 to avoid disappointment. A pre-departure package for the program will be sent to the applicant once accepted into the program. |
