In past program surveys, participants have continuously commented that the orientation program was vital in helping them feel relaxed, prepared, and excited for their upcoming semester abroad. Currently the Study Australia Great Barrier Reef orientation program is headquartered in the city of Cairns, offering easy access to the Great Barrier Reef and attractions in tropical North Queensland. Great Barrier Reef

Spend the day in the Great Barrier Reef, snorkeling, scuba diving, and exploring one of the seven natural wonders of the world. You might even spot clownfish, sea turtles, whales, and dolphins.

Aboriginal Culture

Australia is home to one of the oldest peoples in the world. Learn about Australia's Aboriginal history and culture and how this ancient civilization has shaped modern-day Australia.

Australian Wildlife and Daintree Rainforest

You'll be introduced to some local wildlife and have plenty of photo opportunities with koalas, kangaroos, and other native animals. Explore the Daintree Rainforest, the oldest rain forest on the planet, with its delicate ecosystem and breathtaking scenery.

White Water Rafting

Test your nerves and get your adrenaline pumping on a white water rafting adventure on the Tully River.
