Internships in Australia are not as common as they are in the United States, however, Study Australia can match you with an organization that is perfect for your professional goals. Study Australia works dilegently with their internship placement consultants based in Australia who work with organizations directly to secure customized placements that suit the applicant's career and academic objectives.

The Application
Study Australia uses an online application to gather the information of potential internship participants, which our consultants and staff then use to secure the customized placements. Students and recent graduates interested in applying to the Study Australia Internship program are requested to:
- Thoroughly review all information about the Internship program on our website before applying and call Study Australia with any questions before submitting your application
- Create a Virtual Application via the Study Australia website: https://www.study-australia.com/crm/myaccount/.
- Complete the first four (4) Sections of Part 1 of the VAM, including the Internship Supplemental Information section.
- Apply to the Internship program of choice via the Search/Apply for Programs tab of the Virtual Application
- Remit the $100 application fee and $300 program deposit
- Mail official transcripts to Study Australia at:

After you have applied to the Internship program of your choice, the Study Australia Internship Coordinator will begin guiding you through the application process. For additional details, please review the Application Information Page.
Placement Timing
Because of necessary lead-time, we require applications to be submitted at least 4 - 5 months prior to the program start date. The actual lead-time to source internships can vary from 1 - 3 months or more, depending on a variety of factors for each applicant.
Placement Details
Receiving an internship offer in Australia is an exciting time for the student. Once your internship placement is finalized, Study Australia will send you a Confirmation Letter and Training Agreement (via email), which will provide you with details regarding your placement (e.g. company name, address and contact details), as well as information on working in Australia, business protocol and information on applying for your required internship visa.
