Bond University is located on the Gold Coast, 50 miles south of Brisbane, and boasts the perfect climate of mild winters and warm summers. The region displays a strong youth culture and is famous for its surf beaches, national parks, mountain ranges and great nightlife.

Bond University has a unique architectural design with sandstone buildings surrounding a lake encompassed by lawns where students love to socialize. All facilities are within easy walking distance, and Bond’s small student body makes a lively educational and social community where you’ll soon get to know everyone on campus.

Former students will tell you that one of the best things about studying at Bond is the social life. A much smaller number of students than other universities ensures that no one gets lost in the crowd. Close friendships are forged with fellow students and teachers in lectures and tutorials – some of which have fewer than a dozen students. At the coffee shops and bars on campus, you’ll rarely be alone for long. And the gym and swimming pool are great places to meet new people while you relax between study sessions.

Campus Activities Campus Activities

A multitude of competitive and social activities held on and off campus are organized by the active Student Council and Sports Association. Bond University offers 60 student clubs ranging from academic, cultural and political to artistic, religious and athletic. If you can’t find a club that suits you, it’s simple: create your own! Many students also choose to arrange day or weekend trips for activities such as surfing, bushwalking, mountain climbing, horse-riding and camping.

Bond’s award-winning sports center features basketball, tennis, badminton, volleyball and squash courts, rugby, soccer and hockey fields, a fully equipped gymnasium, aerobics, box-ercise, yoga and Pilates classes and a heated Olympic-sized swimming pool.

Housing Housing

Students attending our Bond University program now have the choice between two excellent off-campus housing options.

Premier Beach Housing: Based on strong interest from past participants, in 2008 we began to offer fully furnished, off-campus housing located in the beachside neighborhoods known for some of the best surf breaks in Australia and miles of spectacular beaches. In addition, students have easy access to cafes, restaurants and public transportation to other parts of the Gold Coast. This housing option requires a short commute via bus to campus. We are currently the only study abroad program offering pre-arranged beach housing at Bond University.

Off-Campus Apartments adjacent to Bond University: For those students who want to walk to campus we still offer our standard fully furnished off-campus apartments. Only a short walk from campus, students enjoy the easy commute combined with the independence of living on their own.

Both housing options include Technology Package with internet access and local phone service. Technology Logo
